Word Problem

With a parent or learning buddy at home, look at the newspaper sports section. Find and circle 10 or more numbers. Calculate the sum and the average of these numbers. With your buddy, select one or more of the numbers and create a math word problem using your selection. For example, if you chose the score of a baseball game (10 - 7), you could write a problem like: The Tigers beat the Dodgers by 3 points. The Tigers’ score was 10. What was the Dodgers’ score? Write your word problem here:
