F RANCE S UNFLOWERS S he had always loved sunflowers and longed to photograph the vast fields of yellow blooms, but her timing was always off. She had found fields of red poppies, bright yellow canola, and lavender in full bloom but she had missed the fields of sunflowers. She had come across a few dreary and withering blooms in the late autumn, but not what she had in mind. As she sat in a café in Provence, she noticed the beautiful arrangement of sunflowers, gourds and grapes and decided to take advantage of the scene that presented itself. This image would have to suffice until she found a perfect field in full bloom.
