V INO ~ I TALIA T he Wine Shoppe was yet another symbol of this lifestyle she loved. The Italians certainly know how to make the best of an ordinary day. The wine, the food, the conversation, each meal seemed like a party. When she was here, she would partake in it all. She promised herself to carry home the commitment to make each day count. Had travel really changed her? It was hard to know. Then she remembered some of her old, narrow-minded views about the world and realized she had changed completely. W INE S HOPPE O ne of her favorite locations in Italy was Cinque Terre. Her first visit years ago was unlike anything she had ever seen. Five tiny and colorful villages nestled into the step hillside that dropped down to the Mediterranean Sea. With each subsequent visit, although there were many more tourists, the mere glimpse of the first village, either from a boat or from the milk train still took her breath away. She was happy she had not become complacent and that each visit felt like her first. She stopped to wander through one of the many unique wine shops that were in the village.
