Newmodular test platform and workflow management solution
AFL have announced the launch of a new Rogue Test Platform & aeRos workflowmanagement solution for state-of-the-art fibre optic testing. The first in a series of planned modules on show at ECOC will be the companies dual fibre bidirectional OLTS/certification module for measuring insertion loss (IL), optical return loss (ORL), length and optional inspection. Whether technicians are faced with high density data centre applications or next generation optical access networks, AFL stated that the ‘Rogue is ready and waiting’.

colorPol high transmittance polarisers
Connected Fibers launch new step
CODIXX AG are set to showcase the colorPol, a high transmittance polariser providing low intrinsic losses and high transmission at spectral ranges of 1.250 – 2.500 nm, transmittance of over 98 % (with anti- reflection coating) and a contrast ratio greater than 10,000:1 (> 40 dB). The insertion loss undercuts 0.1 dB. Special polarisers like the colorPol IR 1310 BC4 HT, colorPol IR 1490 BC4 HT and colorPol IR 1550 BC4 HT match the important wavelength ranges in optical isolators. Reflection losses can be minimised by an antireflection coating. AR-coatings are available as V-coatings or wide-band versions for individual wavelengths and all colorPol polarisers are made by glass which entail unique properties, like easy handling, as thin as foil polarisers, resistance to UV radiation and most chemicals, wide acceptance angles EGIDE have introduced a new series of packages dedicated to 100Gb/s and 400Gb/s applications. The family of TOSA, ROSA and (µ)ICR packages is compliant with the OIF and CFP standards. RF performance of the ceramic transitions is above 40 GHz and ideal for current 100G use and opens the road towards the next 200G and 400G transceivers. EGIDE also proposes a complete portfolio of modulator, laser, pump and WSS packages for AON. Specific SMD driver packages for 4xQAM 400Gb/s will be displayed. EGIDE introduces 100G and 400G packages

Thicknesses from 0.2 to 2.0 mm can also be implemented as other spectral ranges, transmission characteristics and contrast ratios. colorPol polarisers are produced to customer specifications in various shapes and dimensions, from 1 x 1 mm² up to a maximum size of 100 x 60 mm².

Connected Fibers will introduce the new 1Cure-VOTM at ECOC 2016. The 1Cure-VO epoxy curing oven is used for bonding fibre optic termini used in telecom, Datacom, aerospace, medical, and other industrial applications. Up to nine programs for single or multiple step curing processes allows the user to follow industry best practices to improve cross linking of epoxies and ensure long term reliability of products. This latest offering expands Connected Fibers’ product offering of intelligent curing ovens, which now include the flagship model 1CureTM and newly released 1Cure-VO, and the company said they are ‘proudly partnered with adhesive experts, AMS Technologies, servicing most of Europe.’
