Founded in 1944, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV) is a non-profit youth development organization that offers innovative and effective afterschool and summer enrichment programs primarily for low income, at-risk Santa Clara County youth ages 5-18+ years. BGCSV serves 5,000 youth at 40 locations in San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister.

INSPIRING TOMORROW’S LEADERS Through our long and rich history, experience, and expertise, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley is leading a transformative change in the opportunity equation for Silicon Valley youth. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to realize their full potential and achieve a great future. BGCSV utilizes a proven youth development strategy that nurtures young people’s self-esteem by instilling in them a sense of belonging, usefulness, competence, and influence. Clubs engage youth in mentoring relationships with caring adults and offer age- appropriate and diverse programs provided by trained youth development staff in these core area programs:

Youth of the Year is a four-month-long leadership development program that celebrates the remarkable lives of Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley members who have distinguished themselves by rising above challenging circumstances. At the Youth of the Year Gala, each finalist shares their story with the entire Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley community, and one youth will be awarded the title of Citywide Youth of the Year.
