SAMANTHA DANIELLE BREWER & MICHAEL BRIAN EVANS SNOWSHOE | 9.29.19

on a cold, snowy day at coopers rock state park, Samantha and Michael ’s lives changed forever. It was there that Michael, a Sissonville native, asked Samantha, of Cross Lanes, to spend the rest of her life with him. Their engagement was brief, just over six months, and just enough time to plan a splendid fall wedding at Snowshoe Mountain resort. Samantha was escorted down the aisle by her father to “A Thousand Years” played by a violinist and a cellist. She wore an ivory-colored dress with long lace sleeves, a low-cut back, a lace veil, and a long train. She also carried a bouquet of ivory-colored and blush-colored roses accented with berries, and gold and green leaves. She met Michael at the altar, where the pair exchanged traditional vows. They also wrote personal vows, which they exchanged back-to- back during a private moment in the woods near the ceremony site just before they walked down the aisle. They kept the wedding small, with 40 of their closest friends and family in attendance. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests celebrated by dining on grilled chicken and salmon, spinach feta triangles, beef Wellington, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Strawberry wedding cake with buttercream icing and cheesecake were served for dessert. After their celebration was over, the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Asheville, North Carolina, before returning home to begin married life together in Charleston, where Samantha works as a dental hygienist and Michael as a dentist.
