LAURA REBECCA HEFNER & TREY ANTONIO OLIVERIO ASPEN, COLORADO | 2.10.20

laura and trey met in 2006 when their respective Bridgeport elementary schools came together for an end-of-the-year party. They were in 5th grade at the time, years away from walking down the aisle. Fast forward to 2019, when Trey invited Laura to go along on a family ski trip to Aspen, Colorado. Soon after they arrived, a gondola took the group to the very top of the mountain where, surrounded by friends and family, Trey asked Laura to be his wife. They returned to Aspen for their wedding and chose the historic Hotel Jerome for the ceremony and reception. The pair were married exactly 365 days from their engagement day, exchanged their first look in the exact same mountaintop spot, and prayed for snow to blanket the occasion. Their prayers were answered. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father while her brother-in-law played guitar before officiating the wedding. She wore an ivory-colored gown featuring a bateau neckline, beaded lace motif, Swarovski crystals, and illusion cap sleeves. The dress also featured a unique, three- dimensional fit and flare skirt. She wore a white fur stole to keep her warm in the snowy weather. A black-tie reception followed at the hotel with dinner, dancing, and a naked wedding cake. The couple spent their honeymoon in Aspen before returning home to begin their married life together in Bridgeport, where Laura works as a physical therapy assistant and birth-to-three consultant and Trey owns a restaurant and bar.
