HEATHER NICOLE LYNCH & NATHAN DAVID ROSS PIPESTEM | 10.5.19
in 2014, heather and nathan met through a mutual friend while working as registered nurses. Three years later, the couple rented a Mustang and headed west, stopping at a number of state parks before reaching Natural Bridge State Resort Park. After a one-mile hike to the top of the scenic sandstone bridge, Nathan proposed. Two years later, the pair tied the knot back home in West Virginia at Pipestem Resort State Park on the Cardinal Room Deck of McKeever Lodge. For her October wedding, the bride wore a classic, ivory-colored, long V-neck style dress with cap sleeves and elegant bodice beading paired with a veil handmade by the bride’s mother. Her bridesmaids wore long-sleeved maroon V-neck dresses. Each groomsman wore a matching maroon tie and vest with a traditional black suit, and the groom wore a black suit with ivory- colored accents. Against the backdrop of the Bluestone River Gorge underneath a wedding arch built by the bride’s father, the couple was married by Pastor Barry Moll, longtime friend of the bride’s family. Following an aerial tram ride to the banks of the Bluestone, the celebration continued at Mountain Creek Lodge. Guests enjoyed a buffet-style dinner with appetizers followed by a two-tiered, fall-themed chocolate and vanilla cake with white icing and fondant fall leaves. The bride and her father wore aviators as they performed their choreographed father-daughter dance to a mash-up of pop songs. Just before watching the sunset, the wedding party and guests danced to the closing song of the evening, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii, before returning to their home in Morgantown to begin their married life together.
