JORDAN CELENE RUSH & JESSE AUSTIN CHANEY FAIRMONT | 10.19.19

every year, hundreds of thousands of people find love on match.com. Holbrook, Pennsylvania-native Jordan and Hundred-native Jesse joined those hundreds of thousands in the summer of 2016. Jesse proposed to Jordan a year and a half later at their home in Fairmont and celebrated the occasion with dinner at Wonder Bar Steakhouse in Clarksburg. They held the wedding on the patio of the Fairmont Field Club. Jordan, wearing a fitted, ivory-and-champagne-colored mermaid-style dress with lace and beading, was escorted down the aisle by her father, Danny, who kissed her on the forehead beneath the pergola he hand-built and stained. Jordan carried a bouquet of roses, burgundy calla lilies, fresh silver brunia balls, and eucalyptus leaves. She joined hands with Jesse, and the couple exchanged traditional vows officiated by Jordan’s high school history teacher, Terry Tanner. The reception also took place in the Fairmont Field Club, where the newlyweds danced to “This Goes Out to You” by Adelitas Way. The reception’s 165 guests dined on salad, stuffed chicken and baked steak, green beans, and dinner rolls, followed by a two-tiered, half- naked white cake with raspberry filling and white icing decorated with burgundy and mauve flowers that matched the bride’s bouquet. Following the cake cutting was the father-daughter dance to Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl.” The favors—customized matchbooks tied to a candle—were made by the couple. The newlyweds departed for their honeymoon in Samaná, Dominican Republic, before returning to Fairmont, where Jesse works as a network administrator and Jordan is an ultrasound technician.
