563. 1916 D329 Weil Baking #91 Walter Johnson (HOF) - SGC VG 3 (Highest SGC Grade)

565. 1916 Famous & Barr #33 Eddie Collins (HOF) - SGC EX/NM 6 MINIMUM BID: $500

The Big Train is about to burn in a a warmup pitch, or so it seems on this SGC 3 1916 Weil Baking Card. Designated in the American Card Catalog as D329, only two examples of this very scarce card are found in the SGC pop report, with another two graded by PSA. Weil Baking was a steady issuer of cards in the 1910’s and 20’s but the survival rate for these is miniscule. The Hall-of-Fame hurler has strong clarity to his photo, with some light foxing seen near the bottom. Border and corner chips and dings can be seen but the card has a pleasing appearance. The reverse looks quite nice as well, with some minor foxing, and remains bright. A particularly scarce card, and one of the keys to the issue.

MINIMUM BID: $1,000
