DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF BESPOKE ACCESS PLATFORM

For decades Zenith has been working in partnership with Tarmac, the UK's leading sustainable construction materials, road contracting and building products business, on numerous of their sites throughout the United Kingdom. Working closely with the engineers at Tarmac, Zenith’s world class engineering team together with our on-site industry leading specialist access, heavy lifting and mechanical teams, designed and installed innovative access to the top section of the Gas Conditioning Tower (GCT) duct, encompassing the uppermost 110m level to the 127m level. The platform, with a combined weight of approximately 30 tonnes, was built to facilitate extensive cladding repairs to the GCT duct, which Zenith also carried out. The scaffold support loading proved too high for standard tubes and couplers, therefore a fabricated support arrangement was designed and installed.
