As summer winds down and fall returns, Chanhassen begins its seasonal shift—kids head back to school, daylight hours grow shorter and our community settles into new routines. This time of year offers a great opportunity to reflect on what keeps our city strong: connection and vigilance. Whether you're cheering on the Storm at a football game, walking the trails around Lake Ann surrounded by vibrant fall colors or simply commuting to work, public safety plays a part in each of those moments. At the Sheriff's Office, our job isn’t just to respond when something goes wrong—it’s to help prevent issues before
they happen. That starts with awareness and partnership. So as you enjoy all that fall has to offer, we ask you to keep a few things in mind: drive a little slower with wet leaves on the roads, keep an eye out in school zones and don’t hesitate to report suspicious activity in your neighborhood. These everyday actions make a big difference. We're proud to serve this community and even prouder of the way Chanhassen residents look out for one another. Hands-Only CPR LOCATED AT THE CHANHASSEN FIRE STATION
Hands-only CPR can provide the victims of cardiac arrest with the valuable care they need until advanced treatment arrives. Learn the basic skills of Hands-only CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use so that you are prepared to respond in the event of a medical emergency. Completion of this course does not result in a certification.

Join the Chanhassen Fire Department's annual open house! Watch the Life Link III helicopter land at 5:30 p.m. behind Chanhassen Elementary. Then stick around for live fire demos, a firefighter obstacle course, hands-on activities like the spray house, the State Patrol rollover simulator, free food, giveaways and a chance to meet your local heroes.
