First In Line (GB) Began awkwardly.RAND15/07/2023 Mostly Cloudy (IRE) When qst, rdr std no specific instructions given other than have mnt
settle where comfortable. Std with genuine tempo of race in early stages he was unable to hold a midfield position & consequently settled towards rear. Std on straightening he shifted inwards to improve, but near 300m was obliged to shift outwards to make his run, but near 250m was again obliged to shift inwards. Added mnt then commenced to close off race well from the 150m, but near the 100m became held up before shifting out into a run near the 50m, & was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages. FLEM 17/06/2023 Shaiyhar (IRE) Rider reported the gelding raced flat and failed to travel during the event. Commenced awkwardly and knuckled on jumping away. MORN 21/06/2023 Rider reported the gelding may not have run out a strong 2500m. Post Race Vet no abs. M V 29/07/2023 Raced three wide without cover. Approaching the 150m was disappointed for clear running. CAUL 08/07/2023 jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto another runner - vet slower than expected recovery and thumps MRPK15/07/2023 Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until approaching the 200m. SANH19/07/2023 Slow to begin. Rider reported he was instructed to settle the gelding at the rear of the field. He added that approaching the 600m he was confident with his position and was hopeful of obtaining clear running through the field, however when this did not eventuate near the 500m, he was then obliged to shift out to obtain clear running and race wide. He further added that the gelding found the line well but did not display the same turn of foot as last start at Randwick on 24/6/23. CAUL 08/07/2023

CAUL 08/07/2023 Raise You Ten (NZ) Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not racing since November 2021 due to a near fore tendon injury and was passed suitable to race. Crowded on jumping. SANH19/07/2023 Asgoodassobergets (FR) Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
When questioned re performance, rdr stated after being given the option to settle in a more forward position, he was required to make use of his mnt in the early stages to obtain a position outside the leader in the early stages. He said after obtaining this position, his mnt raced keenly when positioned outside the leader and without cover, and as a result it was unable to finish the race off as expected. A post- race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. CANT21/06/2023
