Employment of Relatives Policy The Company allows the hiring of relatives. However, the Company does not allow the hiring of relatives in a direct reporting line. Managers must not retain responsibility for pay, work schedule, performance evaluations, promotions or work conditions of a Team Member to whom they are related. Managers with relatives working in the same store location or a different location must observe the following in all matters relating to their relative. • If you have any relatives working for the Company, report the relationship to your HR Manager, even if the relative works at a different location than you. If you have any relatives working in the same location as you, report the relationship to your HR Manager and also to your immediate Supervisor. • Abide by the Company’s Conflicts of Interest Policy. Do not allow personal relationships to influence business decisions. • Do not take action to influence the relative’s pay, work schedule, performance evaluations, promotions, or work conditions. • Avoid any conduct which would show favoritism or perceived preferential treatment towards the relative. • Do not provide any additional opportunities to the relative than you would to similarly situated Team Members. • If any concern arises between the relative and a co-worker, Guest, OEM, Lender or Vendor, you should not get involved. Instead, refer the concern to your HR Manager or, if more appropriate, GM or MMD/RVP. The following persons are considered relatives: spouse/partner, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces/nephews, cousins and in-laws, including any such relationship that arises through marriage or by adoption. It also includes Members of your household, whether or not they are related to you. Employment and Wage Verification Reques Asbury Automotive Group partners with Thomas & Company, a national employment and wage verification firm, to provide employment and wage verification services for current and former team members. Thomas & Company may assist with wage/employment verification with home loans, car loans, credit applications, rental loans, government agency requests, and other wage/employment verification requests with your approval. You may access the Thomas & Company wage verification portal to set up your account and generate the required verifier PIN. The Company reserves the right to modify any policy as necessary, in its sole discretion, to the extent permitted by law. Violation of any Company policies or procedures can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
