2025 Crown Team Member Handbook

POLICIES

Paid Time Off (PTO) - Continued

If a new team member starts after the 15 th of the month, they will not receive the month’s PTO allotment. For new hires, PTO will be prorated beginning with their first month. New hires after May 31st will not be awarded PTO until January 1st of the following year. For rehires, PTO will be based on the most recent date of hire, unless otherwise required by law. For position changes or move to a different market platform, Team Members will move to the applicable PTO days accrual rate based on tenure and pay calculation rate based on time in new position, effective with the start sate in the new role or the effective transfer date. Examples • A sales advisor with 3 years of tenure who transfers to a sales advisor role in another market platform will continue on the same calculated rate that/he/she has earned, but move to the PTO accrual rate in that market effective the date of transfer. • A flat rate technician with 3 years of tenure who transfers to a flat rate technician role in another market platform will continue on the same calculated rate that/he/she has earned but move to the PTO accrual rate in that market effective the date of transfer. • A service manager with 5 years of tenure moves to a service advisor position, he/she will move to the new service advisor PTO rate of $150.00 per day until the January 1 following 12 months in the role when the service advisor calculated rate will apply (See PTO calculation section) In order to provide the best possible service to our retail and service Guests, the following will be taken into consideration when approving requested PTO: • How many consecutive days off are requested? – It is recommended no more than 7 consecutive days off are granted. • How many Team Members in the same department are off? • Does the requested time off fall on a dealership/department designated blackout date? Unused accrued PTO does not carry over into the following calendar year. It MUST be used in the year it is awarded and is considered “use it or lose it”. Eight (8) hours will be paid for each full PTO day taken, regardless of the number of days in a team member’s work schedule. For example, a regularly scheduled 4-day, 10 hour per day work week team member, and a regularly scheduled 5-day, 8 hour per day work week team member will earn the same number of PTO days, paid out at 8 hours per PTO day.

Team Members will not be paid for any unused accrued PTO upon separation from employment.

Part-time team members going to full time status will begin accruing PTO utilizing their seniority date as of the first of the month after their status changes to full time. Full time team members going to part-time status will not forfeit any unused PTO for that calendar year, but will stop accruing PTO time as of the date they change to part-time status.
