PTO Rate Calculation

49 No policy should be construed to confer any express or implied contractual relationship or rights to any Team Member. The Company reserves the right to modify any policy as necessary, in its sole discretion, to the extent permitted by law. Violation of any Company policies or procedures can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. If you have any questions about this handbook or Company policies, please feel free to discuss with your Manager or HR. Technicians, Master, Line, Quick-Lube, Detail, Apprentices or Trainee, Body Shop Painters, Preppers, Detailers, Body Shop Mechanical Technicians, Internal Technicians, Tint Technicians and Body Shop Technicians who have not used all their PTO by the end of the year may request payment in lieu of PTO up to ½ of the total remaining balance. All applicable taxes, statutory deductions and withholdings shall apply. Requests must be submitted using the Company form, through the payroll ticketing system. Dates for submitting these requests will be communicated by the Payroll Department. For team members with an average daily pay rate calculation, that calculation will include the recurring pay elements written into the pay plan (base pay, earnings based on individual productivity, paid time off, and pay for training attended and supported with documentation). Spot bonuses, SPIFFS, any sporadic payments not part of the recurring pay elements, and sellback of PTO will not be included in the calculation. Technician PTO Sell Back • Hourly Team Members – Hourly rate. • Salaried Team Members – Regular salary. • Parts Counter Team Members paid a draw, will receive their regular draw. • Commissioned Team members paid on department profitability will receive their salary or draw only, excluding any commissions, bonuses, etc. For these team members, in states requiring payout of earned but unused PTO hours, the PTO payout rate likewise will be the salary or draw only, excluding any commissions, bonuses, etc. for the earned, but • F&I Managers- $300 each day until January 1 st after the completion of 12 months of continuous employment; then average daily pay from the prior calendar year, based on a 5-day work week at 8 hours per day. The team member’s draw, if any, will be reduced by the PTO dollars paid for the time away from work. unused PTO hours required to be paid out in those states. • Technicians paid on “Team pay” will receive their flat rate. • Sales Advisors - $100 each day (or minimum wage, whichever is higher) until January 1st after the completion of 12 months of continuous employment; then average daily pay from the prior calendar year, based on a 5-day work week at 8 hours per day. The team member’s draw, if any, will be reduced by the PTO dollars paid for the time away from work. • Service Advisors and Body Shop Estimators - $150 each day (or minimum wage, whichever is higher, based on an 8-hour day) until January 1st after the completion of 12 months of continuous employment, then average daily pay from the prior calendar year, based on a 5-day work week at 8 hours per day. The team member’s draw, if any, will be reduced by the PTO dollars paid for the time away from work. • Flat rate Service Technicians, Hybrid Service Technicians, Body Shop Technicians and Painters – Flat rate for 8 hours each day until January 1st after the completion of 12 months of continuous employment then average daily pay from the prior calendar year, based on a 5-day work week at 8 hours per day. • Hourly Team members who earn commissions/variable pay based on their individual performance (ie.,Quick Lube Technicians, Detail Technicians and Body Shop Helpers) – $100 each day (or minimum wage, whichever is higher, based on an 8-hour day) until January 1st after the completion of 12 months of continuous employment, then average daily pay from the prior calendar year, based on a 5-day work week at 8 hours per day. • Example: average daily pay calculation for commissioned team members paid on individual production on January 1, 2025 after the completion of 12 months continuous employment: • 2024 total pay= $52,000 • Average weekly pay: $1,000 • Average daily pay: $200 ($1,000/5 days) • Average Hourly Pay: $25 ($200 daily pay/8)
