59 No policy should be construed to confer any express or implied contractual relationship or rights to any Team Member. The Company reserves the right to modify any policy as necessary, in its sole discretion, to the extent permitted by law. Violation of any Company policies or procedures can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. If you have any questions about this handbook or Company policies, please feel free to discuss with your Manager or HR. Reporting/Investigation Procedure: Any Team Member who is bullied, threatened with or subjected to violence, or who becomes aware that another individual has been bullied, threatened with or subjected to violence, should immediately notify Human Resources. All threats should be taken seriously. Reports of bullying, threats or violence will be carefully investigated, your confidentiality will be maintained to the fullest extent possible consistent with our need to investigate, and when necessary, appropriate action will be taken to ensure the continued safety of our Team Members and the public. Off Company Premises: Any Team Member who, while engaged in Company business off the premises, commits or threatens to commit any violent act against any person will be subject to immediate termination. Even when off the premises and not involved in Company business, a Team Member who commits or threatens to commit a violent act against another person may be subject to immediate termination. Respectful Workplace The Company has a strong commitment to maintain a respectful workplace free of discrimination and harassment, where every individual is treated justly and with dignity. Team Members have a right to work in a comfortable environment, free from derogatory remarks, unwelcome sexual advances, and any other verbal or physical conduct constituting harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity and expression, sex (including childbirth, breast feeding and related medical conditions), pregnancy, age, disability, national origin, citizenship status, veteran’s status, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other category covered under federal, state, and local law. By leveraging the talents and capabilities of each of our Team Members and working together to break down any barriers that stand in the way, we can continue to grow our business. We value diversity, and we respect each individual. Our corporate culture has zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment. Retaliation Free There is zero tolerance for retaliation. The Company forbids any retaliatory action to be taken against an individual who in good faith reports a perceived violation of any policy. Retaliation is also prohibited against individuals who are not themselves complainants but who participate in an investigation. Individuals who feel that they are being or have been retaliated against must report such action in accordance with the protocol identified in the Team Member Complaint Procedure. Violence Free To provide a safe workplace for our Team Members and to provide a comfortable and secure atmosphere for our Guests and others with whom we do business, the Company has a zero-tolerance policy for violent acts or threats, including acts of bullying. On Company Premises: Any Team Member who commits or threatens to commit violence against any person while on Company premises will be subject to immediate termination. The Company premises includes our roadways and parking lots. This includes, but is not limited to, discussion of the use of dangerous weapons, such as bombs, firearms, or knives, even if in a joking manner. Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited and not permitted on Company premises (including parking lots), unless otherwise permitted by state or local law. The Company also prohibits Team Members from transporting or storing weapons in vehicles owned or leased by the Company, unless the Team Member is required to transport or store a weapon as part of the Team Member’s duties and he or she has written permission from his or her Manager.
