Q2 Legislative Scoop
Utah’s construction industry continues to be at the center of major policy conversations at the state and federal levels. From new state-led efforts to streamline development to sweeping national tax reforms, AGC is actively engaged in representing contractors’ interests across all levels of government. Here are the key devel- opments from Q2: 1 Governor Cox announced the creation of the Utah Build Council, an interagency initiative designed to accelerate project timelines and remove regulatory roadblocks for development across the state. The council brings together state agencies to reduce red tape and coordinate more efficiently, with the goal of enabling faster, cleaner, and more cost-effective project delivery. AGC of Utah is actively engaged with executive-level staff to monitor this Coun- cil’s progress and provide industry feedback.
