The NHS has spent a disproportionate amount of time managing sickness absence rather than fostering a culture of well-being for all staff. In recognition of the limitations of a sickness-absence-focused approach, a new Wellbeing and Sickness Absence Policy has been developed in collaboration with NHS Employers and the Social Partnership Forum . Four Early Adopter Sites have committed to implementing this policy to support colleagues and promote well-being.
