Commercial Truck Driver Training

CEI Apprenticeship Programs
Construction
Learn theory, application and code requirements from professionals in each field. These progressive 4-year education programs, coupled with practical work experience, lead to Journeyman licenses in the respective discipline. Apprenticeship Readiness At the conclusion of this course students will be able to: a) Identify basic safety procedures on the job, b) Identify proper PPE for the job, c) Identify hand/power tools and use, d) Be able to compute the amount of product needed for a job (wood, stone, sheetrock, etc.) e) Interpret construction drawings, f) Be able to put on and test rigging equipment, and g) Identify procedures for handling materials.
CDL Comprehensive (TTD150) - Full Time This program is designed for the needs of students with no prior knowledge or experience in truck driving. The objective is to provide students with an in-depth look at the trucking industry and a thorough introduction to long-haul truck driving. The program is structured to provide students with basic knowledge and practical skills necessary to take the Class A CDL test and assist in preparing them to become entry-level over-the- road, regional or local drivers of tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles. The Class A CDL is administered by the State and can include doubles and triples, tank trucks, and hazardous materials endorsements. Successful completion of the program qualifies graduates to work in a co-driver/driver trainee position, although some graduates may be qualified to work as a solo driver, depending on individual skill development and employer requirements and policies. The program takes approximately 4 weeks to complete and includes 150 clock hours of instruction, including 104 hours of class and lab, 44 hours of behind-the- wheel driving time, and the CDL test. Welding 1 Summer 2023 Introduction to the safety and theory behind the electric arc welding processes. Instruction will include practical hands-on lab time for setup and operation as well as industry-recognized safety certification. This course is not intended to lead towards a welding certification, though it may help a student decide if that’s what they wish to accomplish. Animal Science Systems Animal Science Systems is a 5-day instructional program with afternoons going to different farms, ranches, vet clinics, processing plants, dairy, and specialty animal visits. Learn how a blood test can determine the heredity traits of an animal, cows milking over 90 lbs. of milk a day, learning about research at the Dubois Sheep Station, volunteering at Champ’s Heart, learning about horse health and wellbeing, visiting a beef ranch and learning about livestock both big and small. This class will help you look at animal science differently than you have before, who knows, it may be a career option for you. *Students should wear shoes that cover their heels, toes and ankles.

Students should expect to spend a minimum of 10 hours per week (80 hours in total) on self-study in the online program to ensure they can gain the necessary skills. Fundamentals of Project Management

Certified Nursing Assistant Begin your health care career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. This course prepares you to enter the workforce as a health care professional and to take the state exams required to be placed on the Idaho Nurse Aide registry. The 120-hour class includes in-class lectures, in-class skills practice and clinical experience at local health care facilities. Additional class costs are health screenings for clinical access, background check, BLS CPR certification, two-piece blood pressure kit, scrubs and textbook.
Emergency Medical Technician — EMT Basic The EMT Basic program includes in-person practical skills instruction and clinical time that meets Idaho and national registry standards for obtaining the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) license. This program will prepare you to provide pre-hos- pital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. You will acquire basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. Assistance with Medications Individuals who successfully complete this course may assist a patient with medication administra- tion in assisted living, group homes, and certified family homes. You will be able to identify the legal requirements, safety factors and understand your responsibilities as an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). UAP’s may not assist with medications in hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.
