Fundamentals of Project Management

Organizations of all types and sizes have project work that requires a unique set of managerial skills. Unfortunately, only about 64% of those projects are successful. Today, high-performing organiza- tions are intentionally focusing on the fundamental aspects that support successful projects. As a result, they are looking for Project Managers who possess the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to lead projects to a successful outcome. In this course, you will gain a basic, high level understanding of Project Management principles and processes. In addition, you will learn how and when to apply those principles and processes in the context of a mock project. You will learn various tips and tricks from seasoned project management professionals. You will also be provided with sample templates enabling you to increase the “tools” in your project manager tool box. If you are currently a Project Manager, or considering becoming one, this course will provide you with the basic funda- mentals of project management (in a “hands on” setting) that will enable you and your projects to be successful.
