At Franklin Building Supply, your personal finances matter just as much as ours do. Recently, all of our locations had the pleasure of hosting financial literacy coach Janice Purdy Pierce. The FBS Financial Ed program aims to provide employees with a better understanding of personal finance and how it impacts their lives. The sessions were a great success, and the benefits of financial literacy for our employees cannot be overstated. At an employee-owned company like ours, it’s important that everyone feels a sense of ownership and responsibility for the company’s financial performance. Personal financial literacy is essential to that sense of ownership, as it allows employees to better understand the company’s financial goals and objectives. Employees with a strong understanding of personal finance are better equipped to make informed decisions about their money. They are more likely to save for retirement, manage debt effectively, and invest in their own future. All of these actions contribute to a more well-rounded coworker. In addition, financial literacy can help employees feel more confident in their ability to make financial decisions, both inside and outside of work. This leads to improved performance and satisfaction and a stronger
sense of connection to the company and its mission. It’s clear that financial literacy coaching can have a positive impact on employees and their companies. At our employee-owned company, we’re proud to offer these resources to our workers, and we’re committed to helping them feel empowered and engaged in our financial performance.
