YOUTH ATHLETICS VOLUNTEER COACHES We depend on volunteers to help operate our youth athletic programs. The choice to utilize volunteer coaches is made for the benefit of the young athletes. Volunteer coaches help keep costs low and ensure affordability for all families. Additionally, volunteers often bring a genuine passion for the sport and a desire to give back to their community, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment that prioritizes the well-being and development of young athletes over financial gain. This volunteer-driven approach also fosters a sense of community ownership and engagement, as families and residents become actively involved in supporting youth sports initiatives. Youth living outside the city limits of Dothan can only participate if their city does NOT offer a basketball program. Limited to 4 teams per age group, each team will play a 10-game season packed with competitive matchups. This is your chance to sharpen skills, rise to the challenge, and prove you belong among the elite. Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to compete, grow, and win. Ages: Dates: Location: Fee: Coordinator: 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, and 12U Mondays and Wednesdays, September 3 – October 6 Eastgate Park Ball Complex $500.00 Kaleb Bass, 334-648-0717, kbass@dothan.org CO-ED LEAGUE SOFTBALL Slow Pitch Softball with teams consisting of Men and Women. Teams can consist of any group of players that want to play together. The team must be at least half and half or consist of more women than men. (Example: 5 men/5 women, 6 men/6 women or 7 women/5 men, 5 women/4 men etc...). The season will consist of 10 regular season games with a double elimination playoff. All practices and games will be on Monday nights. Sign-Ups are as a Team not Individuals.
