Brief Description : The Automotive Technology program instills the mindset and skill set you need to become a successful professional Automotive Technician. Students will receive instruction on shop safety, engine repair and light maintenance, diagnosis and troubleshooting, industry standards, brakes, automatic trans/transaxle, manual drivetrain and axles, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, engine performance, electricity & electronic systems, and related automobile operational theory. ROC’s Auto Technology is an ASE Alliance
the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
Internship : During second semester eligible students have an opportunity to be placed in an internship (on-the job training) at local automotive businesses. Students must have their own transportation to their internship site.

High School Credits Available : 15 elective credits per semester
