Brief Description: The Introduction to Health Careers program is designed for any student interested in pursuing a future in any allied health related career. This course covers basic information on many aspects of healthcare to provide students with a solid foundation of medical history, medical terminology, patient safety, hospital practices, and healthcare careers. Juniors who successfully complete this course will be given priority enrollment the following year for advanced training into any of the ROC/CTEC’s allied health programs, including Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assistant, or Sports Medicine.

Internship : During second semester eligible students will have an opportunity to be placed in an internship

Course : One year AM session 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM PM session 11:45 AM - 2:45 PM

Location : CTEC Dress Code : Medical Scrubs
