MEDICINE INJURY CARE & MANAGEMENT

Brief Description : The Injury Care and Management program provides entry-level knowledge in preventing and treatment of athletic injuries. Injury Care Specialists treat professional and recreational athletes, as well as people with disabilities and those who wish to increase their mobility and physical capabilities. This course provides taping, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, anatomy, cell and tissue structure and response to injury, body systems, exercise physiology, therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercise, pharmacology, nutrition, and kinesiology. Course : One year PM ONLY 11:45 AM - 2:45 PM

Internship : During second semester eligible students will have an opportunity to be placed in an internship (on-the-job training) at local businesses.
