FINAT To Host Global Young Managers Congress FINAT will be hosting the fourth Global Young Man- agers Club Congress, taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, March 22-24.This growing annual event is the result of the establishment of the FINAT Young Managers Club (YMC), FINAT’s initiative to address the challenges on both the technical and business management fronts that face second-generation and young newcomers to the label industry’s extended value chain. Attracting delegates from across Europe and further afield, the FINAT Global Young Managers Club Con- gress this year is focused on “creating your pathway to success”. Combining a Label Industry Young Talent Platform, expert speaker presentations, and interactive work- shops with a program of social events, the Congress agenda is designed to provide insights into current industry topics, issues, and opportunities; to increase delegates’ management skills; and to build an active global network of young managers working in this key aspect of the packaging industry. X-Rite Acquires ColorCert Software Assets X-Rite Incorporated, and its subsidiary Pantone LLC, has acquired the ColorCert software assets from Nelissen Consulting, a privately held company in Ger- many. Since 2013, X-Rite has been the exclusive dis- tributor of ColorCert software, a real-time color and print quality process control and reporting tool used by consumer packaged goods companies and pack- aging converters to reportedly simplify color com- munication across all internal and external stakeholders.As part of the agreement, X-Rite will ac- quire all ColorCert software assets and intellectual property related to the ColorCert Suite including Col- orCert Desktop tools, ColorCert ScoreCard Server and ColorCert Repository Server. Siegwerk Acquires Hi-Tech Siegwerk has signed a contract to purchase UK- based Hi-Tech Products Ltd.The specialist supplier of water-based inks and coatings develops and manufac- tures water-based flexo inks, mainly for printing on corrugated board packaging. In 2016, Siegwerk purchased ACTEGA Colorchemie (today Siegwerk Buedingen) and opened a new Blending Center for the production of water-based inks at its Technical Center in France.
