FLOOD OF DATA
California’s flood risks don’t get the focus other natural disasters do. But that’s changing. Research models developed by UC Irvine’s Brett Sanders and Nicola Ulibarri are telling us that the greatest danger of future flooding isn’t in coastal areas but inland urban communities. With new urgency, their teams are working with county and city planners toward solutions that ensure safer neighborhoods in all of Orange County and Southern California.
