Billing and Reimbursement FAQ’s What are your billing options for patients without insurance?

DRUGSCAN ® will bill the patient directly for services rendered at our self pay rate. If the patient is unable to pay for our services, we offer a Financial Assistance Program where we evaluate the charges after receiving documentation from the patient in regards to household income and family size. Will DRUGSCAN ® have to contact us for additional information like other labs? We will work with your office to ensure we are collecting all of the information needed at the time of the order. In instances where we are still missing information after receiving the requisition, we will request additional information. Our request will include the patient information, DOS and the field(s) needing correction or completion. How much does DRUGSCAN ® bill for its services? DRUGSCAN ® bills all insurance companies and government payors at its usual and customary (U&C) charges. Who do I call with questions?
