Collection Instructions Sufficient volume of oral fluid for both screening and confirmation testing is critical. The Quantisal® Oral Fluid Collection Device ensures sufficient volume, by collecting 1mL (+/-10%) of oral fluid. The device has a color indicator that turns blue when collection is finished. The Quantisal® Oral Fluid Collection Device collection device does not contain artificial stimulants and citric acid is used to increase saliva flow. 1. Check the expiration date on the Quantisal ® Oral Fluid Collection Device and make sure the donor has refrained from consumption of food or beverage for at least 10 minutes prior to collection. 2. Instruct the donor to peel open the package and remove the device. 3. Instruct the donor to position the collection device under the tongue and close mouth. 4. Important: Ensure that the donor does not chew on pad, or remove the device from their mouth before the color indicator turns blue. 5. When the color indicator turns blue, instruct the donor to hold the transport tube in an upright position and uncap by pushing up with their thumb. Do not stand tube on table, or spill fluid from the tube. 6. Instruct donor to insert device into the uncapped transport tube and replace cap. 7. SNAP CAP firmly for transport and place center of specimen seal on top of tube. Press down on both sides. 8. Combine paperwork and send the sample to DRUGSCAN ®
