DRUGSCAN ® EREQ QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE Preferred browsers: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox 1. Log In: www.lifepointlink.com/DRUGSCAN 2. Search for a patient: a. Enter the patient last name, first name, any other search criteria and select “Search”. 3. Existing patients: a. Review the list and choose your patient by clicking on the “Patient ID” hyperlink. The patients name will appear at the top of the page. Note: Required information is identified by an asterisk* b. Review and edit any updated information in the fields provided. c. Click the “Update” button after reviewing to update the fields. 4. New Patients: If your patient does not appear, choose the “Add New Patient” field. a. The patient ID will automatically be generated. b. Office MRN – this field must be at least 6 characters, if less than 6 are used, add to “XX’s” to the front of your 4-digit medical record number. This field is required for your patient’s historical report to appear. c. Patient documents can be uploaded per patient, on the Patient Information tab. These will remain in the patient’s history and not per order. These attachments could be medical records, a copy of the insurance card, driver’s license, prescription, etc. i. Document type: PDF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, WORD and EXCEL 5. Insurance fields: a. Choose the responsible party tab at the top of the screen i. Self – patient is the insurance subscriber – demographics will auto populate ii. Spouse – Patients spouse if the insurance subscriber 1. Check box if address same as patient iii. Child – Patients parent is the insurance subscriber 1. Check box if address same as patient b. Enter Primary insurance information i. Choose from commonly selected insurance types ii. Add all required insurance information c. Click on the “Update” button to create this patient. d. Attach any required documentation at the bottom of the Patient Information screen.
6. Order Tests:
Follow the Tabs across your screen a. Patient Information – Select “Edit” if any changes need to be made, then “Update” b. Diagnosis – add all diagnosis codes or verbiage to search for required codes, or search in the commonly chosen diagnosis code list. c. POCT – for those offices performing Point of Care testing in their office i. Note any positives or negatives from POC testing if required to appear on the report
ii. Select “Confirm” for any tests requiring confirmation d. Prescribed Medications – to note any current medications i. Select “As Needed” for PRN Medication’s ii. Select “As Prescribed” for prescribed Medications
iii. Use the calendar for date of last consumption if provided. If not, leave blank iv. Select “Confirm Prescribed Medications” to have your medications confirmed v. Contact your sales rep to have a list of your common medications preloaded e. Tests – Tests and Profiles to be ordered on the Patient i. Select specimen type: urine or oral fluid ii. Select individually orderable tests or custom panel only if medically necessary iii. To view panel components, hover over the blue ( ) iv. Custom panels will have the components listed below them v. When ordering a custom panel, the individual components will automatically be selected in the additional test order section vi. If a component of a panel is “unchecked” the panel will not be ordered, only the remaining individual checked test codes f. Review – Click on this tab when completed with the other tabs i. Any missing information will be highlighted with an error message and will require corrections ii. Review accuracy of diagnosis codes and test orders iii. Update the processor name iv. Collection date will default to the current date and time, update as needed v. Choose the ordering physician vi. Complete observed collection field if desired vii. Comment field – add any comments pertaining to this patient
