STUDENT GALLERY Sara age 9

Select a plant or a photograph of one to look at as you draw it in color. You already know how to use a pencil and make light or dark areas by changing the pressure of the pencil on the paper. We can do the same thing with a colored pencil.

2. Fill in the shapes made with those lines using a light pressure on the pencil for light color. The lines should sit side by side with no white showing between them.

1. Draw the edges using a light pressure with an Ebony ® pencil. Do not erase lines too soon. When some lines aren’t right, go back to that area of the paper and draw over them.
