With your child, explore the relationships of the colors in the paint set and the colors on this color wheel. You might say, “Starting on the left of the paint set, we see red. Where is red on the color wheel? The next color is orange. Orange sits beside red in the set and on the color wheel.” Continue in this way as you and your child find yellow, green, blue, and purple. Brown and black are not on the color wheel, but are colors that we often need when we paint. Now your child has some idea of how the color wheel and the paint set are arranged.
