(L-R) SCIGIRLS IN SPACE AND SCIGIRLS "CODE CONCERT"

TPT Builds Confidence TPT’s National STEM Media and Education Team uses on-air, online, and on-the-ground content to help youth ages 8-13 across the United States develop an interest in STEM and realize there is a place for them in STEM careers.

SciGirls is TPT’s long running, national STEM focused suite of programming that includes an Emmy Award- winning, PBS KIDS television series, role model videos and strategies, multiple websites, hands-on curriculum and activities, and professional development workshops designed to inspire girls (and all children) to explore STEM learning and career paths. This year, seasons six and seven of the TV series were concurrently in production. SciGirls in Space , funded by NASA, explores space science and NASA-aligned educational and career paths. SciGirls in the National Parks , funded by the National Science Foundation, focuses on citizen science in the outdoors and is set to premiere in spring 2023. Building on the success of Latina SciGirls , the STEM team also launched Black SciGirls , funded by the NSF. This two-year project examines systemic issues within STEM learning spaces and aims to provide educators with culturally responsive approaches that validate and uplift Black learners.
