NEW PLATFORMS
TPT committed to creating more digital series available to viewers anytime on a variety of non- broadcast platforms, like YouTube and our website. Outside Chance This year, we premiered season 1 of Outside Chance . Hosted by yogi, emcee, rapper, and outdoor enthusiast Chance York, Outside Chance explores Minnesotans’ relationship with the outdoors and demonstrates that the outdoors is a space for all Minnesotans. Season 2 is in the works and will premiere in 2023, with a focus on equity, accessibility, and breaking down barriers to entry. Watch current episodes at tpt.org/outside-chance . Relish Hosted by James Beard-nominated chef Yia Vang, Relish is a short-form, digital series that takes viewers into the kitchens of local chefs as they serve up an ingredient or dish that has personal and cultural meaning for them. This year saw the release of season four of the series. Stream all four seasons at tpt.org/relish . A broadcast version of Relish and a new digital-first series are in development.
STAGE Providing a platform for Minnesota artists, STAGE expands access to the arts for audiences, and helps Minnesotans discover artists with whom they might not be familiar. Each episode of season 2 of STAGE was hosted by musician and educator Natalia Romero Arbeláez, who also worked with TPT to develop educational materials for educators to use with the program. STAGE season 3 premieres next year. The season will feature famed musicians sharing stories and introducing up-and- coming local acts that inspire them. You won’t want to miss these never-before-heard collaborations. ART IS... A multimedia and events series, Art Is.. . brought together established and emerging artists to create performances that crisscrossed genres. Surveys taken after each event found that: • 100% of respondents learned about new artists and planned to learn more about the artists showcased. • 100% felt more connected to their community after attending.
