ELEMENT 8.1 - DUTIES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HV OPERATIONS
Learning objectives:
58) Explain personal safety responsibilities in HV environments (Knowledge, intermediate level)
59) Explain the right to stop work and intervene in unsafe situations (Knowledge, intermediate level)
60) Recognise designated roles and communication responsibilities during HV operations, and typical variations in different regions (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Introduce the duties and roles designated during HV operations.
Explain designated duties, responsibilities and limitations, which ensure safety and effective HV operations.
Facilitate a discussion to illustrate relevant examples of regional differences:
a.
personal responsibility for safety
b.
right to intervene / stop the job
c. designated responsibilities for each type of communication
d.
regional terminology and differences
The participants shall:
Engage in a group discussion on designated roles, duties, responsibilities and limitations, which ensure safety and effective HV operations.
Compare and contrast differences in terminology and defined designated duties in different regions.
