His younger brother Cobi is just learning therapy dog skills from Sammy. He is a future therapy dog in training. To be able to pass to get certified, Sammy needs an exam every year and to succeed by obeying 22 exercises. Submitted by Alicja, the handler.

to line the bottom. You may wish to use treats, toys, or catnip to help encourage your cat to explore the carrier. Consider choosing an appropriately sized carrier that has two openings, such as from the top and the side. This allows you to safely remove your pet from the carrier without having to pull them out. Ideally, the carrier should have a removable top. This is a desirable feature particularly during vet visits, as it allows the care team to remove the top and complete a physical within the carrier. Consider adding a feline-appealing pheromone, such as Feliway, on the day of travel to help reduce anxiety, or speak to your vet if your cat is too stressed to travel in the carrier. It starts by leaving the carrier out and allowing your pet to enter and rest in the carrier as a part of their day-to-day environment. This can be done in the weeks before scheduled travel or as a mainstay in your home. The goal is to avoid building a negative association with the carrier by only bringing it out for travel. The carrier should be left in a location that is easily accessible, with the door open or removed. Utilize familiar and comfortable bedding
