Secrets of Old South by Adam Corrigan Holowitz
On Saturday May 4th the Karen Schuessler Singers capped off their season with Secrets of Old South . Joining Karen and the choir was Denise Pelley, Stephen Holowitz, Aaron McDonald, Greg Mainprize and Darryl Stacey. I was honoured to join the show to tell stories that celebrate the community of Old South. It is a source of great joy to speak with a near-capacity room, as you feel the warmth, generosity and laughter come back to you as you tell stories. Being part of a community leads to great adventures…the ones you never see coming. It is how you get good stories. It means heading out to lend a hand, and coming together like we did on May 4th. It is experiencing the realizations and reminders that when we come together, we are all we need to get by. Photos courtesy Marianne Lee. Right: Karen Schuessler conducts.
