OUR MISSION: AMPLIFYING THE BUSINESS VOICE
We are a focused, agile team of experienced communications and public affairs professionals, dedicated to impactful messaging, building effective stakeholder relationships and driving advocacy. Our membership is expanding, and includes representatives from the Universities of Portsmouth and Southampton, alongside THE TEAM: DRAWING ON THE REGIONAL LEADERS IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS discussions will span a wide range of topics – from infrastructure and skills to environmental regulations and growth strategies – encompassing the diverse challenges and opportunities in our regional economy. Our aim is to ensure the business community's insights and concerns are clearly understood by local councils, regional bodies, and central government. Our The Public Affairs Group will guide our efforts by identifying and addressing policies that directly impact the success of our Champions.
LOOKING AHEAD: A VISION FOR THE FUTURE
A major project for the coming year and working through the Action Groups, is devising an advocacy document that will summarise our leading challenges as well as recommendations on how they could be addressed so the Central South can flourish. We aim to finalise this within the next five months, collaborating closely with the action groups. Our motto is "less is more" – we will present Mayoral candidates with concise, clear requests they can act upon. Additionally, we will continue to actively engage with the Central South All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG).
