Blue Cross/Showroom Clearance

WHAT IS SHOWROOM/BLUE CROSS?

When a display model is discontinued or has become shop soiled and replaced with a new one, we sell the old display model off at a discounted price from the branch known as showroom clearance.

As a rule, we cannot accept returns or cancellations on Blue X or clearance products.

Most disputes for these type of items are as a result of additional damage from the point of sale to the point of delivery.

HOW TO…

• If the customer reports further damage, call the store and query this with them, the damage may of occurred during transit, if this happens you can offer a reselection to the value they paid, a collection & refund or finally a further discount however if the customer has had 80% showroom discount, they cannot have a further discount as this is the maximum. • In the event that the claim is not supported (branch says that damage was definitely present when purchased) then we must politely advise the customer that we are unable to take any further action on this occasion. • The customer’s statutory rights are not affected and any manufacturing defects not apparent at the point of sale will be covered by either Dreams. • Prior to delivery, the customer has the same reselection or cancellation rights as a customer purchasing brand new goods. • Always check if the product has a Blue X or showroom clearance discount against it. If there is, then this means that the product was sold as imperfect and that the customer was made aware of this at the time of purchase. • Any claims for faulty goods should be dealt with by Customer Services. If the fault that the customer is reporting was not evident or noted when the customer purchased then we must deal with the claim.

• The customer is entitled to replacement* or refund of money paid

• The *replacement would be either a like for like (another clearance mattress of the same specification, not a brand new one) or a replacement of a brand new one and the customer pays the difference between what they paid on the full price.

• If a customer has had delivery of their Showroom/Blue X item and are advising a fault, no Emmiera inspection is required UNLESS it is a Tempur Mattress.
