ForSURE ForSURE offers tailored EPR software for modern retailers, simplifying compliance with user-centric design for efficient EPR processes.

At ForSURE, we focus on helping businesses with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). EPR is legislation focusing on waste management and holds producers, retailers, and distributors accountable for the waste that their products will inevitably generate. This legislation can become complicated quickly, especially when a company is active in multiple countries. We originally started by developing a solution for a new task at work. One of the founders was tasked with filing an EPR report at his job and needed a solution to apply the legislation to a large dataset automatically. He partnered with his roommate to develop a solution and saw the potential for broader business use. And so, in 2022, ForSURE started. Achieving EPR compliance leads to many different issues. For example, for small companies, EPR can hinder growth as the tasks defer a lot of attention from core activities. Additionally, expanding into a new country means starting from the ground up to understand their specific EPR legislation. For large companies, non-compliance can lead to significant fines or even trade bans. We help customers in two ways. First, we assist in the setting up of a strategy to tackle EPR correctly. This entails any manual work needed to identify hurdles

and opportunities in a compliance strategy. After that, our software

automates the reporting necessary to stay compliant and keeps our customers updated with the latest regulations. Employing this hybrid approach combines the benefits of both automation and manual consulting to deliver a streamlined EPR process. Ultimately, this saves a great amount of time for our customers, reduces the risk of being non-compliant, and makes the whole topic of EPR easier to manage. We cover the legislation of six countries so far and are working hard to cover the EU as soon as possible. So far, our product manages to reduce the time needed to report from hours, if not days, to a matter of only minutes. For some companies, this can reduce the reporting time from weeks to a couple days, proving the importance of handling EPR well. We believe in the importance of EPR but not in the inefficiency of the current solutions. There are other automated programs on the market, but their high price point makes them inaccessible for many businesses. We believe they shouldn’t be left out and that there should be solutions for everyone, no matter their size or sector.
