Standard BS EN 60728-11:2023. Since then, we have started the process of resolving the EU Commission refusal of entry into the OJ (Official Journal of the EU). Entry into the OJ is important as it allows a presumption of conformity to the LVD (Low Voltage Directive) if the standard is followed. During the Frankfurt November meeting, we agreed to remove the equipment part of the standard which will allow a revised version to be introduced. This will allow the system only side of the standard to be issued although without the equipment LVD compliance. The equipment part of the standard may then be worked on separately to provide the compliance.

The current work is on a number of standards covering safety, EMC, DOCSIS and optical. We have had our second year of face- to-face meetings since the Covid-19 pandemic and, as I said last year, the interaction between technical committee members and aside discussions added significantly to the meetings and much more constructive work was conducted.
