Drinks and homemade chili were also available and people were treated to a show by Russell band The Front End , who provided the entertainment for the evening. In ad- dition, baked goods and lemonade were also sold throughout the evening, adding to the total funds raised by the sale of tickets, the auctions, the bar, etc. A sum of $2000, included in the total, was also donated by Russell Township. Russell Mayor Pierre Leroux, as well as MP Francis Drouin andMPP Grant Crack ad- dressed the attendees before the beginning of the festivities. A testimony was also given by Sue Powers, an Alberta resident whose husband is currently working as a firefighter

Over 44,000$ were raised at the Fort Mac, we’ve got your back event, held at the Rus- sell arena on Saturday June 4. The event was organized by Russell area residents Connie Johnston, Marie-Claire Ivanski, Nikki Jardine and others, in part- nership with the Township of Russell. The evening featuredmany activities, including both a live and silent auction.These auction items were all donations from residents and businesses of the area and included things such as tools, jewelry, art pieces, gift certifi- cates and many more.

Malgré de sombres nuages à l’horizon, les participants de cette année du Relais pour la vie deMaxville se sont mis en route samedi midi, pour leur défi annuel contre le cancer.
