EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Extensive financial experience, including accountability for internal budgets and management accounts of over £20m-£30m p.a. • Experience of business continuity and disaster recovery planning. • Extensive knowledge and experience of all Health & Safety aspects of managing relevant services, with specific experience in asbestos, legionella, working at height,
Essential criteria: • An inspiring, confident and empowering leader, who can set strategic direction, lead effectively through ambiguity and get the best out of a diverse workforce through promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture. • A track record of operating in relevant senior Estates roles across complex and fast-moving organisations. • The ability to analyse complex issues and data to inform strategic decision making and practical outcomes. • The ability to lead and set direction credibly through both the turbulence of change and under pressure. • Proven experience of building trusted relationship with senior stakeholders, with a strong ability to influence and work through others. • A track record for developing creative solutions and innovative ideas, collaborating with others that have worked on a large scale. • Significant real estate management experience with partner organisations in order to develop sites and maximise returns. • Demonstrable evidence of successfully delivering a portfolio of technical services across a multi-site organisation. • Solid understanding of project management principles and extensive experience of using these principles. • Evidence of designing, developing and implementing forward-thinking policy and procedures across a range of functions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential criteria: • Flexibility to travel between all Force and Fire sites in Surrey and Sussex.
