My Fertility Journey Desi shares her story
Becoming a mother was never a straightforward journey for me. As a young girl, I lived with pain I didn't yet understand -irregular periods, migraines that left me curled in silence, anxiety that weighed heavily on my chest. Later, I learned the name for it: Endometriosis. I had two surgeries before I was 26. I remember one doctor telling me I may not be able to have children. I was only 23. That sentence stayed with me. When my husband and I decided to try for a baby, I naively thought it would happen easily. But the universe had a different plan -a long path full of detours and lessons I never asked for, but somehow needed. That path first brought me to acupuncture. My acupuncturist helped me move stagnant energy, reduce pain, balance my hormones... and most importantly, believe in my body again. No more daily pain relief. This was a miracle, but still no baby.
