God loved you so much that He was willing to allow His Son to be spit upon, to be slapped, to have a crown of thorns placed on His brow. God allowed His wonderful Son to become the very thing that you and I are, God allowed Him to be* come sin for us, that we — we who knew no right eousness — might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Yes, young people, God places a higher value on you — infinitely higher — than the world could ever consider. That’s why the Lord Jesus Christ, though all Heaven was His, laid it all aside and bought us with the greatest price ever paid when He suf fered, bled and died on the cross for your sins and mine. A doctor friend of mine was telling me how, as a young intern, he was going through the hos pital one day. There were five other doctors who were watching this intern and grading him. They went into the room of a young fellow who was crying. He cried out to this young intern, “ I’m dying! Help me!” But the intern thought to him self, “ I dare not open my mouth and tell this young fellow about Jesus Christ with these five doctors watching me, lest they give me a poor mark.” So he walked out of the room without speaking to this young fellow about his soul. He went from one room to another until the five doctors had finished grading him. As soon as they finished, he rushed back to the room of the dying young man, to talk to him about his soul. As he entered the room, the nurse was pulling the sheet over the young man’s head. It was too late! This young intern went to his room, got down on his knees and cried out to God to forgive him. He made a vow right then and there that he would use every opportunity God would give him to tell others about Jesus Christ. All around us there are men and women on the broad road to Hell and destruction who need to hear about the Lord Jesus, the only One who can save men through all eternity. I want to tell you, be fore you finish reading this, that God is not willing for you to continue on your way to Hell. This is not why He made you. This is not why He bought you back. But only you can make the choice to accept the purchase price. God gave you a will of your own and He is not a tyrant to override your will. The choice of Heaven or Hell is up to you. Jesus paid the price o f redemption because in God’s sight you are worth more than all the riches of Heaven. We know that God’s justice was satisfied, and the proof of it is in the fact that God raised Jesus from the dead as the Firstfruits of all who will believe. You cannot live right, you cannot die right un less you believe right. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and start to Heaven. Will you do it now? I trust you will.
