From a regulatory perspective, the answer to this question is no. If the agricultural water is treated, routine testing and the establishment of a microbial water quality profile are not required. However, as discussed earlier, proving that the treatment system is effective (validation) and implementing a system that can be applied and reduce the risk on your specific farm (verification) requires sampling and testing. In addition, audit schemes or buyer requirements may mandate additional or alternative water testing programs.
