Reports To Managing Director, UPP Management Direct Reports Head of Lifecycle, Post Construction Director, Head of Design & Innovation

Job Purpose The Asset Management Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure that UPP’s estate is always attractive to students to secure the budgeted revenues throughout the SPV concession period. This is a key leadership role with significant impact across the business and will contribute to the integration, development and growth of UPP Management maintaining the highest standards in line with the Group’s vision and values. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential to establish key relationships both within the UPP businesses and with our university partners and supply chain. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities The post holder is accountable for all asset management, assessment and reinvestment need, including: • Asset investment programme. • Budget and cost management. • Programming. • Quality (incl. design matters). • Risks (including mitigation & management actions taken). • Legal/commercial issues regarding asset management (working with the group legal director and commercial teams). • Planning and statutory authority matters. • Health & Safety performance regarding asset management.

More specifically the post holder will: • Be accountable for UPP’s asset management and performance.

• Develop an estate wide Asset Management Strategy, to secure budgeted revenues. • Maintain up to date oversight of the estate condition, undertaking surveys and reviews. • Undertake analysis of condition, student feedback, occupancy data and look ahead for prioritised investment to secure budgeted revenues. • Produce a clear, unambiguous and deliverable 10-year (rolling) investment programme, to ensure that high levels of occupancy are maintained across the portfolio.
