easier to say, Your sins are forgiven, or_fo say, Rise up and walk.” “T o show you that I have power while I am on earth as the Son o f Man, to forgive sins, I say to this man Rise, take up your bed and go to your house.” At once the man stood on his feet, rolled up his bed, put it on his shoulders and walked through the crowd out o f the house. , I «think his friends met him as soon as he got out o f the house and went home with him, praising God for His goodness in sending His' Son. This was the first time the people really knew that the Lord Jesus could do that greatest of all things, forgive sins. All the people praised God and said, “We never saw it this way before.” They had found, as we have, that it is greater power to make bad folks good than to make sick people well. - Prayer .—Thank Him that 'w e can say “ Forgive us our sins.”

He was happy to see how much these men had done to share Him with this poor helpless man. The Bible says that because o f them He said, “ Son, be happy, thy sins are forgiven.” All the great men said, “ Oh, this can not be true, for no one can forgive sins but God.” The Lord Jesus knew their thoughts, for He knew all things, and He said, “You think wrong in your hearts.
