International A Level Travel and Tourism

Students will develop an understanding of key concepts and theories in travel and tourism and explore how the industry impacts people, environments, and economies. They will study a range of global tourism destinations, organisations, and issues, and apply their knowledge to real-world contexts. Learners will also plan and organise an actual tourism event, gaining insight into how the industry operates in practice. What will I learn?

Achieve a minimum of Grade 5 in English First Language and preferably Grade 5 in Geography or Business at IGCSE.

Skills, Knowledge and Understanding

Commit to at least 5 hours of private and independent study per week.

Knowledge and understanding: Travel and tourism concepts and theories, tourism destinations and organisations, sustainability, and the social, environmental, and economic impacts of tourism.
